Support Groups

Peer connection · Practical support · Multilingual

DIA facilitates local and virtual support groups across India, bringing together people living with dementia, family caregivers, and other family members. Our groups create safe spaces to share experiences, learn practical care strategies, and access local resources — all in a supportive, stigma-free environment.

Support groups operate in multiple vernacular languages including Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.Sessions are culturally sensitive and delivered in participants’ preferred languages to ensure accessibility and meaningful engagement.Run in collaboration with clinical and research partners such as NIMHANS.Partners provide clinical insights, facilitator training, and links to advanced screening and assessment programs, strengthening the care pathway from community support to specialist services.
